This will save you time on your first visit.
Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.
Your First Visit
The goal for the first visit is to get an idea of your health problem, make sure it is something both
our chiropractors can successfully treat, and that it is safe and appropriate for her to treat you.
Plan for an hour for your first visit and please complete your paperwork prior to your visit. You may download and print our forms or you can fill out through our online booking system.
The doctors will have you complete paperwork, take your history, review any studies that you may have, and perform full spinal examinations. At this time, they will evaluate the need for x-rays. All x-rays are taken in the office.
After examination and x-rays, you will make a follow-up appointment for the report of findings and Dr. Kim will spend time evaluating the case.
Your Second Visit
On the second visit, Dr. Kim will review the results of your exam and x-rays.
A report of findings will be given to you detailing your plan of care and explaining how chiropractic can help you. The will also give you the care plan for the appropriate frequency of care needed for your case. This visit will last approximately 45 minutes and be followed by your first treatment. Supplemental care will also be discussed which may include nutrition, stretches and any other modality that may work in addition to your chiropractic adjustments to return your health faster.
Subsequent Office Visit
Our typical office visit starts with brief paperwork reporting your improvements, or concerns.
Both Dr. Kim, Burnaby chiropractor, will take a brief history and decide that day’s course of treatment,
and future care. The main factor is how much you have progressed overall. The subsequent visit
will last about 15 minutes.
Your treatments will be geared toward your specific goal (pain relief, correction, or wellness). Most patients choose a correction based plan that is aimed at relieving pain and then correcting the underlying issue so that symptoms do not return in the future. This involves time to restore the dynamics of the spine and body. In turn, you will experience better health.
No matter what your goal is, both Dr. Jenna and Lisa Kim are here for you. Our primary concern is your overall health. We will do our best to give you the recommendations and tools to health restore you to better health. We want to help you reach your health goals.
